Make sure that you trust and verify your moving company. Visit the Better Business Bureau (www.BBB.com) or check out Yelp (www.yelp.com) for consumer reviews.
3. Time to Clean out your Glory Days! Do you have boxes of stuff that you haven’t opened since the last move? If so, it’s time to donate it to a local Goodwill, Salvation Army, or charity. Moving is the ideal time for a “life clean” and the “18th Month Rule” is in effect – if you have not touched it in the last 18 months then it has to go! We also recommend that you review the furniture you’re taking. Will everything fit in the new place? Ask lots of questions and clean out your closets as it’s time to start fresh!
